We are currently seeking a GUI Software Engineer to join our Evanston office. Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated GUI (Graphic User Interface) Developer with very strong web development skills to work on the front end of our SaaS applications. The ideal candidate would have a passion for web development, have an eye for well-designed UI's and is very ‘visually’ detailed oriented
Using your expertise to help us simplify our user interface
Working with User Experience Designers and Product Managers to define solutions that meet users' needs and with maximum usability
Sharing your expertise with other software engineers to strengthen our team
Implementing code that cleanly separates backend business logic from the presentation layer
Being responsible for ongoing bug fixing and refactoring of your code
Qualifications :
Professional Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3 - 8+ years of software product development experience, including ownership of significant client UI components
An undeniable passion for building great user interfaces that solve real user problems
Extensive experience and understanding of web or RIA oriented applications as well as the MVC framework with the focus of delivering great and engaging user experiences
Extensive experience with DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, .NET, ASP.NET
Experience with any of the following technologies would be an asset: Dojo, JQuery, XML, JSON, Prototype JS, ExtJS, REST services
Experience with rapid prototyping and also developing high-performing, secure, production quality code
Highly motivated, works well in a fast paced collaborative team environment with interaction designers, back-end server engineers, test engineers, product managers, etc.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience with mobile development would be a nice plus
