ABOUT THE COMPANY:
RUE3 has the privilege of partnering with an industry leading company that provides the most comprehensive converged IP services testing solution - from the wireless edge to the Internet core. Network equipment manufacturers, service providers, enterprises, and government agencies use these test and simulation platforms to design and validate a broad range of wired, Wi-Fi, and 3G/4G networking equipment and networks. My client’s solutions create real-world conditions by emulating a full range of high-scaling networking protocols and generating media-rich application traffic to validate performance, conformance and security of cloud, core, data center, wireless and multiplay networks.
ABOUT THE GIG:
As part of a Sales team, the successful System Engineer candidate will provide technical sales support for sales opportunities within assigned territories; will perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers and will support customers with product evaluation, bake-offs and provide post sales support as needed. Be able to provide IP L2-7 Test Consultancy in the form of delivery of test plans, the execution of test plans, customer advising of results of testing, automation of test plans through the TCL API including TCL, PERL and other scripting, including experience writing complex scripts. Intimate understanding of IP Performance Test equipment.

THIS IS WHAT YOUR DAY TO DAY WOULD LOOK LIKE:
• Pre-sales and/or post-sales or QA experience in Data Networking, Telecommunications, or Test capacity is desired (e.g., Sales Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, Test Engineer, Professional Services Engineer).
• 3 to 5 years networking industry experience; network equipment testing is a plus.
• Strong programming / scripting skills with TCL, PERL, HLTAPI, etc.
• Solution Architecture and customer solution problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, services and applications including Ethernet, Metro Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS VPNs, QoS, VoIP and TCP.
• Must be able to translate and document customer needs into requirements
• Highly organized and possess a keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
• Must be able to operate independently juggling multiple competing priorities.
• Must be able to quickly pick up on new technologies and tools.
• This job will require less than 10% travel
• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking or equivalent experience.
